Asynchronous training for instructional coaches
Context
Project overview: Coaching On Learning (COOL) is a scalable coaching model based on the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Our goal was to support elementary-school instructional coaches in helping teachers improve outcomes for all learners, especially those with disabilities, using high-leverage practices (HLPs) and evidence-based practices (EBPs).
My role: I created online/asynchronous learning materials for coaches.

Course modules created using Articulate Rise
I created an interactive learning document using Google Docs for coaches to use as they reflected on the course and their own practice. Coaches were given multiple response options and graphic organizers to use.
Microlearning
Challenge: Distill the key phases of the project's coaching cycle into a dynamic infographic / animation
Role: Instructional designer
Skills: Vector graphics, video editing, storyboarding, script development
Tools: Adobe Ilustrator, Figma, Camtasia
This microlearning resource was used both in the introductory course module as well as an anchor for ongoing learning. Each time a phase was referenced in the course materials, I used a visual reminder from this animation to stimulate recall and help learners make connections to their own coaching practice.
